Symphony # 5 op. 16
The legend of the mythical bird Phoenix is common to almost all cultures of the world. The Phoenix is a symbol for wisdom and patience, for incorruptible values and unbiased judgement. It watches the world
and its development with sharp eyes and a compassionate heart. What it sees causes it joy or sorrow, happiness or pain, but it does not engage in the business down below.
There is only one Phoenix at any given point in time;

"The Song of the Phoenix" was written in
Bal Harbour and Titusville. The score was
completed on December 29, 2010
From the ashes, a new Phoenix arises, of the same beauty and wisdom as the old one, to watch over a new era.
at the end of its life - which lasts for several
hundreds or even thousands of years - it
builds a nest from fragrant woods, sets it ablaze
and perishes in its flames.
