We've Been Discovered!
At the occasion of the visit by the Columbus fleet, I wrote a little piece about our "discovery"
The street front
The gate
The Northern docks
The Cabana
The shop building; small craft are stored here on shelves
The Travelift; it lifts the bigger boats out of the water for inspection, cleaning,
and dry storage
The dry storage
The new lounge - with coffee maker, microwave, TV, and Wi-Fi
Washers and driers in the laundry room
Easy to find: 28°37'11.89" N and 80°48'31.20" W - and then make a right
Boats as far as the eye can see
and even more boats...
Spectacular cloud formation
- just beautiful -
"Pinta" and "Niņa" discovering Titusville
"Pinta"
"Niņa", Columbus' favorite
The Flying Catamaran
"Heart of the Sunrise" is too big for Rick's Travelift;
Special equipment is required
Bob gives directions ...
... while Martiel doesn't even want to look on
The big straps are hooked on
while on "Skipper's Home" ...
... the crew is anxiously watching
Finally, the big catamaran hangs in the slings ...
is lifted higher and higher ...
and swung right over "Skipper's Home"
If it drops now, I won't have to clean my boat anymore
Looks scary, doesn't it?
But all goes well, and "Heart of the Sunrise" is back in her element
"See - ? No reason to worry!"
