This is truly a happy tune - an upbeat piece of music
that puts a smile on the listeners' face.
The Cello, with its velvet and full-bodied voice,
is among my favorite instruments in the orchestra.
Now, here, as the solo instrument, it can show off
its full and amazing bandwidth - from its growling
bass to the warm and emotionally rich alto range to
the glittering virtuosity of its cantilene register.
The score was composed in Titusville and completed on December 17, 2012.
The rehearsal package includes the solo score, a student copy of the full score, and a play-along CD
with the orchestral part only.
